Haven’t bought binoculars before so researched a bit went for a value internet-only deal on 10 x 50. Couldn’t find any high street stocking them – just web sales. They are quite heavy but that’s because they’re porro prisms – they have nice rubber grip. I think the main reason they were about half the price of other similar binoculars is because they’re a little cheap and cheerful from an accessories point of view. The neck strap is a bit rubbish and the case is pretty flimsy. The binoculars themselves seem good so far. They do the job for what I wanted and managed to see some good things on a walk. They aren’t waterproof or fog proof apparently, but I just carry a plastic bag around and if it starts to rain, I put them away. So not for sailing or camping holidays in the UK, but good for sunny birding or the view from a hill, which is what I wanted them for.

Very clear & sharpa view. Super focusing, much more precise than the more common type. Very well packaged for delivery by post.
