these binoculars let light in very well.they close focus to around 7ft which is very good: binoculars costing hundreds of pounds wont do much if any better than that.the focus is sharp and easy and i would not think you could get a better pair of 8 by 21′s for the price or indeed quite a lot more.they are very smart and compact, robust and rubber clad in black.similar to as stated previously: i doubt very much you will get any better unless you want to spend considerably more.highly recommended,sb.

These binoculars are well made, compact and robust. After some research, and as a novice user, I decided to buy 8 x 21, however, although these are brilliant for use in small gardens and immediate distance, I now wish I had gone for for a higher spec., maybe 10 x magnification, so that I could use them for longer distance. That said, these are very clear and easy to use and would recommend them as good value for money.

My daughter had some of the useless plastic lens binoculars that I believe she wasted about 5 quid on, from a shop that was tagged onto either a zoo, or a science museum. I bought these for her as she adored her rubbish ones. I have a Celestron telescope, so trusted the brand, and was very pleasantly surprised with these. The binoculars have the two lens and single right eyepiece adjustments and (when focussed) the image quality is excellent. For kids the magnification isn’t so great that they can’t hold them steady. She’s very happy with them, I’m very happy with them. Highly recommended and great quality.
