These binoculars fitted the bill – compact, rugged, waterproof and reasonable magnification. I like Olympus stuff, I have an E520 SLR and a 1030SW compact cameras which I am very happy with.
The size is just right to put in your jacket pocket or slip in your camera bag. The only complaint I have is with the lens cover – it takes a little effort prizing it off, and if you’re in a hurry to catch a glimpse of something you could miss the opportunity.
Haven’t had chance to try the waterproof aspect of them but they were very handy watching dolphins, kookaburras, koalas and kangaroos in Australia and Eric Clapton at the O2.
